  • Sign-up for all classes is available below just by clicking on the class you are interested in. You can also sign-up in the entryway of the shop or give us a call.
  • If you see no date and time listed, it will be determined by teacher and participants after class reaches its minimum.
  • If you have an idea for a new class please let the store know and we will try to accommodate your suggestion.
  • A 10% discount will be given for supplies purchased from the store for any of the classes.
  • Receive a free knitting pattern with the purchase of yarn.

Private Lessons

$5 an hour with a minimum of at least 4 lessons.

Beginning Knitting, Purling, Working with Circular Needles, Double Pointed Needles, Cables, Stranded Work, Socks on DPN, Magic Loop, 2 socks on 1 needle, Felted Slippers and Mitten, Short Row Hats, Knitting with Beads, Needle Felting and Wet Felting. Also trouble shooting your unfinished projects!

Learn to needle felt a small critter using a needle supplied with your kit. Kits can be purchased from the Ben Franklin store in Sandstone.

Learn to purl, decrease, read a pattern and sew a seam while working through our project. Materials needed: Size 8 straight or cir needles, worsted weight yarn (140 yds)

Must know the Magic Loop Technique. Supplies Needed: Size 3 or 4 40" circular needle and approx 60 yards of 2 different colors of worsted weight yarn or 120 yards.

Join us again this month for one of our popular classes. Materials Needed: Size 6 or 7 dpn or 32" cir for magic loop, 102 yds DK weight of 2 colors (Homestead used) Patterns provided

Learn to identify & fix those little 'oops' we all make at one time or another in our many projects. Supplies Needed: Scrap yarn and needles.

Our classroom is available for Open Sewing. Use our spacious classroom to finish your project. Plenty of table and floor space. Please bring your own machine and sewing supplies.

Join us in creating this sweet little sweater for your sweet little one! Choose between 0-3 month or 6 month old size. Supplies Needed: Size 8 or 9 24 or 32" Circular needles, 170-240 yards of yarn (Suggested yarn is Encore Chunky) and stitch markers.

Learn to wet felt using the roving technique. Other techniques will be discussed during class. Fee = class fee ($10) + material fee ($6)

Join Cheryl for Open Knitting! Bring your current project and sit around our table with our instructor. Need help? Cheryl will be there to assist.

Join us the second Thursday of each month and work on your own projects or start a new one. Bring your lunch and spend the day with other quilters.

Learn different techniques to begin and end edges and learn the many ways to increase and decrease in your work. Supplies Needed: Scrap yarn and Needles

Bev has an extensive knowledge in quilt and fabric history. She will use her antique and contemporary collections to look at how quilters have used color over the past 200 years. Always a fun and interesting presentation. Please join us and learn some new ideas on how to use color in your own quilting!
